Standing out from the crowd in a one-of-a-kind striking red vintage ex-CFA canteen truck, Dos Diablos are currently roaming around Melbourne to locations both sides of the river serving up a range of fast, fresh & fun, mouth-watering Mexican street food, in particular their signature stand-out tacos. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options are available. Locations change daily and are announced via Facebook & Twitter.

 

 

Upon embarking on this project Devil-in-Chief Bill Jacobs had witnessed food trucks starting to make a real footprint and seen an evolution towards a more casual, informal style of dining across the city without any compromise on quality. This noticeable trend made perfect sense to him within the Australian context, and is, to him, the essence of what the food truck movement is about."Australia is quite an irreverent, informal culture so the idea of being able to grab a six pack or bottle of wine, head down to the park or beach and enjoy some quality food with friends just seems such an ideal fit".

 

"The first thing that struck me on observing the food truck movement, aside from the fabulous offerings, was the regular occurrence of complete strangers striking up conversations around the trucks, initially about the food, then music, Melbourne culture etc. This really resonated with my idea of the place of hospitality in bringing people together. Dos Diablos is the perfect vehicle (pun very much intended) to further facilitate this level of community. "
